Mayor unfurl the National Flag at MCC

Chandigarh, January 26:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has organized a colorful function to commemorate the Republic Day in MCC building, Sector 17, here today. Sh. Davesh Moudgil, Mayor of Chandigarh was the Chief Guest on the occasion.


While addressing a massive gathering on the occasion after unfurling the National Flag, Mayor said that this was a day of introspection for all of us to see if we have fulfilled the dreams of our great freedom fighters. He said that Chandigarh is a beautiful city and it is our prime duty to maintain its beauty forever. He said that being a Smart City, Chandigarh needs to be maintained its cleanliness, all basic amenities to the citizens and latest technology and infrastructure etc. He mentioned that throughout the year Swachh Bharat Mission and Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao will be his priority duties alongwith various developmental works of the MCC.

He said that all the umbrella associations like Resident Welfare Associations, Vyapar Mandal, FOSWAC, Market Welfare Associations will be included in one platform to carry out the Swachh Bharat Mission and best possible world class infrastructural facilities and basic amenities will be provided to the citizens of Chandigarh.

Fire Dept.), Mrs. Satwant Kaur (Supdt. Sanitation wing), Sh. Rakesh Kumar (Sr. Asstt., B&R), Madan Lal Sharma (Sub Inspector Enforcement), Mrs. Seema Thakral (Jr. Asstt. B&R), Sh. The MCC also honoured Sh. Jayant Kumar Atreya and Sh. Gajinder Singh Kondal of Chandigarh for their contribution to the society being a part of Swachh Bharat Mission.




Earlier, Students and teachers of Strawberry field school present patriotic songs. They were also honoured by the Mayor & Commissioner.
