Narinder won the Best NSS Scribe title

Chandigarh : The concluding day of the NSS Camp started with a session on Cyber Crime by Mr. Harpreet Singh, ICT Administrator and Mrs. Deepti Sharma, teacher at KBDAV Sen. Sec. Public School, Sec. 7 – B, Chandigarh. They introduced cybercrime and certain intricacies related to the subject. They also told the volunteers to be wary of the crimes happening online, and not to fall prey to all these crimes. He talked of how hacking happens and what tools can be used to stay chary of the cybercrimes. Mr. Harpreet also talked of fake calls made by criminals, presenting themselves as bank officials and how they extract all the important information from innocent citizens.
Mr. Sandeep Joshi, another important speaker of the day, is a well know cartoonist with The Tribune office. He shared his roller coaster ride so far with the different caricatures and cartoons that he has made so far, and has been honoured for. He entertained the NSS volunteers by showing them different cartoons of his through the projector, and shared the story behind each cartoon.
The day ended with a Valedictory Function which had Mr. Vivek Atray, an inspirational speaker and former IAS Officer and Mrs. Madhu Bala madam, the Assistant Programme Adviser, Directorate of NSS, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, as special guests on the occasion. Prizes and certificates were given away to the NSS Volunteers who were judged throughout the week. Narinder won the Best NSS Scribe title; Vishnupriya was adjudged the most enthusiastic NSS volunteer; Minal Warudkar took away the Best Acting Skills prize for her powerful performance in the Nukkad Naatak; Parvesh Mudgal and Ferry were adjuged the most attentive NSS volunteers. Harmita Dahiya and Kshitij were adjuged the Best NSS Female and Best NSS volunteer, respectively. Appreciation certificates were also given out to the NSS volunteers for their contributions during the blood donation camp held on the school campus on 9th December, 2017.
