Bibi Jagir Kaur honored by Sangats of Jammu and Kashmir
Bibi Jagir was honored by the Sangat of Jammu and Kashmir on becoming the President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. The President of Guru Nanak Educational Services Society, Jammu and Kashmir, Sh. Surat Singh said that Bibi Jagir Kaur has always been a Panthic patrol and she has kept in touch with the Sangat of all the states during her presidency.
Expressing happiness over the re-election of Bibi Jagir Kaur, he pledged to support Panthic work as well as Dharam Prachar movement at all levels. Speaking on the occasion Shiromani Akali Dal President Bibi Jagir Kaur said that Guru Nanak Nam Leva living in every state would strive to live up to the expectations of the Sangat and would continue to spread Sikhism across the country. We will intensify the Dharam Prachar movement in Punjab as well as in other states of the country so that the ideology of Gurmat can be raised as much as possible on the occasion of the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, the Ninth Patshah.
At the same time, he assured the sangats from Jammu and Kashmir that work would be done to make the Sikh mission in the region more prosperous and efficient in line with the sentiments of the Sikhs.
