\nIrrigation and Power Minister Rana Gurjeet Singh today asked the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal not to try to outsource the solutions to his own problems.<\/p>\n
Reacting to Mr. Kejriwal\u2019s attempts to put the blame of pollution in Delhi on the states of Punjab and Haryana, Rana said, the stubble burning did not constitute more than 25 percent pollution in Delhi and the actual cause was something else.<\/p>\n
Moreover, he pointed out, the stubble burning was only a momentary problem while Delhi was faced with a severe chronic problem. He said, Mr. Kejriwal, by trying to involve the Punjab and Haryana governments was only aiming at shifting the blame and diverting the attention of the people of Delhi.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe solution to problems in Delhi does not lie in Punjab or Haryana, but Delhi itself and you need to understand that\u201d, Rana told Delhi Chief Minister while suggesting that he must identify the potential pollutants in Delhi itself and look out for suggestions.<\/p>\n
The minister said, prior to the Beijing Olympics there was too much smoke and pollution there and the Chinese government invoked modern scientific methods including artificial rains to clear it. \u201cWhy can\u2019t Delhi government invoke similar methods instead of trying to blame other states\u201d, Rana asked Mr Kejriwal.<\/p>\n
