Nineteen officers from 12 dairy plants of Milkfed in Punjab at Bathinda, Mohali, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Chandigarh, Patiala, Gurudaspur, Sangrur, and Verka Corporate office, Chandigarh, attended the programme.<\/p>\n<p>The NDRI scientists imparted training to determine the quality of milk and milk products using five senses \u2014smell, taste, sight, touch and hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Latha Sabikhi, Head, Dairy Technology Division, NDRI, said that the training programme would strengthen the relationship between the NDRI and the dairy industry in Punjab.<\/p>\n<p>Dr AK Singh, in charge BPD Unit, NDRI, said that the main objective of the training programme was to acquaint the participants with modern scientific methods for sensory evaluation of dairy products.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Karnal, The three-day training programme on \u2018Sensory Evaluation of Milk and Milk Products\u2019 for employees of Milkfed, Punjab concluded at the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) here recently.
