He reminded the youth that Punjabis were on the forefront of national freedom struggle and more than 80% of people who attained martyrdom or were exiled hailed from the state. Quoting the example of Shaheed e Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh, who attained martyrdom at a young age, Mr. Pargat Singh said that youngsters could attain any target provided they have the determination to do so.<\/p>\n<p>The MLA said that players were blessed with several qualities and one of them was that they develop a team spirit during the game, which could help them to excel in their lives. He said that during the competitions the players exhibit remarkable cooperation and harmony to defeat their rival team. Mr. Pargat Singh said that in this same spirit should be replicated for constructing a progressive and<br \/>\nharmonious society.<\/p>\n<p>The MLA said that students must follow the adage of simple living and high thinking for developing a good character. He also asked them to lay due focus on study along with the Sports for comprehensive<br \/>\ndevelopment of their personality.
