{"id":10946,"date":"2017-11-23T11:52:28","date_gmt":"2017-11-23T11:52:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabnews24.com\/?p=10946"},"modified":"2017-11-23T11:52:28","modified_gmt":"2017-11-23T11:52:28","slug":"adc-reviews-ongoing-preparation-of-electoral-rolls-for-mc-elections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/adc-reviews-ongoing-preparation-of-electoral-rolls-for-mc-elections\/","title":{"rendered":"ADC REVIEWS ONGOING PREPARATION OF ELECTORAL ROLLS FOR MC ELECTIONS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>REITERATES COMMITMENT OF DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION TO CONDUCT FREE, FAIR AND TRANSPARENT POLLS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jalandhar,<br \/>\nIn wake of the impending elections for Urban Local Bodies in the district, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Dr Bhupinder Pal Singh today held a review meeting with the Election Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Election Registration Officers (AEROs).<\/p>\n<p>Chairing the meeting at his office, the ADC cum Additional District Electoral Officer for the Municipal elections said that the district administration was fully ready for conducting these polls in a free and fair manner. He said that as per the directions of the State Election Commission (SEC) preparation\/ revision of electoral rolls w.e.f January1, 2017 as the qualifying date on the basis of Punjab Vidhan Sabha voter list 2017 for holding these elections, was already going on. Dr Bhupinder Pal Singh said that the draft of these electoral rolls has been already provided to the political parties and their claims and objections have already been received.<\/p>\n<p>The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the claims and objections of the political parties would be disposed off by November 27, 2017 and the final Electoral rolls would be published on November 28, 2017. He asked the EROs and AEROs to ensure that the entire work was completed in a time bound and flawless manner, so that the elections could be conducted at the earliest.
