{"id":12205,"date":"2017-12-07T11:59:51","date_gmt":"2017-12-07T11:59:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabnews24.com\/?p=12205"},"modified":"2017-12-07T11:59:51","modified_gmt":"2017-12-07T11:59:51","slug":"sushil-kumar-resigns-as-national-sports-observer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/sushil-kumar-resigns-as-national-sports-observer\/","title":{"rendered":"Sushil Kumar resigns as National Sports Observer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Close on the heels of star boxer MC Mary Kom&#8217;s resignation, double Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar has also quit his role as a National Sports Observer for wrestling.<\/p>\n<p>The 34-year-old wrestler was among 12 national observers appointed by the then Sports Minister Vijay Goel in March.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Wrestler Shri Sushil Kumar and Boxer Ms Mary C Kom have submitted their resignation as National Sports Observers,&#8221; the sports ministry said in a release today.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As both the top athletes are still active in their respective fields, wrestling (Men) and boxing (Women), they felt that this could be seen as a conflict of interest.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Keeping in mind the best of the sporting traditions the athletes submitted their resignation.
