Chandigarh : Taking exception of the statement of Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Badal that \u201cWho is chief Minister of State\u2014Captain or Jakhar\u201d, the Congress today reminded the former Deputy Chief Minister Sukbir Badal that that same persons is Chief Minister, who has sent you in police lock up in 2002.<\/p>\n
Terming the statement of Sukhbir Badal as indictor that \u2018he (Sukhbir) has lost mental balance\u2019, Congress Vice President and Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, MLA SS Sukhsarkaria, MLA Harpartap Singh Ajnala, said that the statement of SAD president reflects his frustration over series of defeats; and his anticipation of defeat in civic polls. <\/p>\n
Randhawa said \u201cLet me remind you, that the Chief Minister is same person, who had sent you and your father in Jail; the person who has saved Punjab River Waters; the person, who has given a historic defeat to Akali Dal in 2017 polls that party even could not get position of leader of opposition. And the person, who has given SAD-BJP a historic defeat in Gurdaspur elections, is our president. If you still unable to recollect that who is CM of Congress government or Who is Punjab Pradesh Congress president, then you must visit a doctor for checkup\u201d. <\/p>\n
He said that unlike SAD, Congress is Democratic Party and have different set of leaders of different posts. \u201cUnder your father\u2019s leadership, SAD has become a private limited family company. It was your government, in which post of SAD President, CM, Dy CM, a Union Minister and couple of Cabinet Minister in state government, were from Badal family\u201d, Randhawa told Sukhbir. He said that while CM Captain Amarinder Singh\u2019s statements reflects the view point of government, the statement of PCC President Sunil Jakhar, are votary of decisions taken by government.<\/p>\n
The Congress leaders said that the Sukhbir is baffled with loss of elections, and shirking of party vote bank in State, thus making baseless statements.
