To commemorate this historic, occasion, a solemn \u201cWreath Laying Ceremony\u201d was held at the \u201cVeer Smriti\u201d at Headquarters Western Command. At another solemn ceremony at Chandimandir tributes were paid to 2Lt Arun Khetrapal, He laid down his life on this day in the Indo-Pak war of 1971.Lt Gen Surinder Singh, GOC-in-C Western Command and all ranks of Western Command and a large number of veterans and serving soldiers laid wreath in honour of valiant martyrs and paid homage to them. <\/p>\n
