\nUK public broadcaster BBC has ordered a feature-length documentary on the rise and fall of producer Harvey Weinstein.<\/p>\n
The documentary will include interviews with \u201cthe many actresses who have been brave enough to tell their stories\u201d of sexual harassment and assault scandal, as well as producers, directors, actors, agents, lawyers, journalists and others, reported Variety.<\/p>\n
The 90-minute film, directed by Ursula MacFarlane, has the working title \u201cWeinstein\u201d and will air on BBC Two.<\/p>\n
Production company Lightbox, founded by Academy Award-winning producer Simon Chinn and Emmy Award winner Jonathan Chinn, said it wants the documentary to tell \u201cthe definitive story of Weinstein\u2019s career, fall from grace and Hollywood\u2019s culture of abuse.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a little bit of an (industry) insider, I was fascinated with the story as it unfolded and not a little shocked. As much as people knew a lot about Harvey and his reputation, there was plenty that we didn\u2019t know,\u201d Simon said.<\/p>\n
Chinn, who has met the disgraced mogul once, said the BBC Two documentary would retell the Weinstein story in light of recent revelations and in the context of the wider culture in Hollywood.<\/p>\n
