It is none of our business. How can we direct that,\u201d a Bench headed by Justice Madan B Lokur said while dismissing the petition filed by Delhi BJP leader Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay and JC Seth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat is to be taught in schools is not a fundamental right,\u201d the Bench said, adding that it was for the government to take a decision on such issues.<\/p>\n<p>The petitioners had sought a direction to the Ministry of Human Resources Development, National Council of Educational Research and Training, National Council for Teacher Education and Central Board of Secondary Education to \u201cprovide standard textbooks of \u2018yoga and health education\u2019 for students of classes 1-8 keeping in spirit various fundamental rights such as right to life, education and equality.\u201d<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New Delhi, Maintaining that it was for the government to decide the education policy of the country, the Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition which demanded yoga to be made compulsory for students up to class 8. \u201cWe are nobody to say what is to be taught in schools.
