\nThe BJP is in no mood to let off Congress president Rahul Gandhi for posting a mocking tweet against Finance Minister Arun Jaitley after conciliation was reached between the two warring sides on Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s comments against predecessor Manmohan Singh and former Vice-President Hamid Ansari.<\/p>\n
The Rajya Sabha, of which Gandhi is not a member, today received a privilege motion on the tweet.<\/p>\n
Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu said he was examining the notice given by BJP member Bhupender Yadav on the issue.<\/p>\n
\u201cDear Mr Jaitlie – thank you for reminding India that our PM never means what he says or says what he means,\u201d Gandhi tweeted after the government and the Opposition represented by Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad yesterday managed to end the stalemate prevailing in the House over the contentious issue.<\/p>\n
Naidu said he would examine Yadav\u2019s notice and then take a view on it.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne thing I should advise everybody is, a solemn agreement has been reached between the Leader of the House and the Leader of the Opposition and all other members also endorsed it.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnybody outside commenting on that agreement is not fair and good for the House and for the system also. Anyhow, whatever it is, I will be going through the privilege motion and take an appropriate decision,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the chairman also pointed that no member should take the name of person who was not present in the House and who could not defend himself against a charge or an allegation or an issue raised against him.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat is the rule position, which is very clear,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Accusing the Congress president of \u201cintentionally, maliciously and disrespectfully twisting\u201d the name of Jaitley in a tweet, Yadav said \u201cthe way he (Gandhi) tweeted the name of the Leader of the House\u201d it came \u201cunder the category of privilege\u201d.<\/p>\n
