{"id":16952,"date":"2018-01-02T15:16:33","date_gmt":"2018-01-02T15:16:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabnews24.com\/?p=16952"},"modified":"2018-01-02T15:17:19","modified_gmt":"2018-01-02T15:17:19","slug":"using-45-kg-bags-may-bring-down-urea-consumption","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/using-45-kg-bags-may-bring-down-urea-consumption\/","title":{"rendered":"Using 45 kg bags may bring down urea consumption"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The primary benefits of neem coating is the slow release of urea, said union minister Rao Inderjit Singh&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>New Delhi: January 2, 2018<br \/>\nThe availability of urea in 45 kg bags instead of 50 kg bags may bring down consumption of urea by 10 percent, parliament was informed on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of state for planning (IC) and chemicals and fertilizers, Rao Inderjit Singh, in a written reply to a question on innovative solutions taken by the government to cut urea consumption, informed that with the objective of encouraging balanced use of fertilizers, department of fertilizers has made it mandatory for all the domestic producers of urea to produce 100% as Neem Coated Urea (NCU).<\/p>\n<p>The entire quantity of both indigenously produced urea and imported urea is being neem coated.<\/p>\n<p>One of the primary benefits of Neem coating is the slow release of urea, which results in increased Nitrogen Use Efficiency (NUE). Due to NUE, the consumption of Neem Coated Urea reduces as compared to normal urea, the minister added.<\/p>\n<p>The minister also informed that in the light of increased effectiveness of NCU, government of India has decided to introduce 45 kg bag of urea in place of existing 50 kg bags and a period of six months have been given to urea units as lead time to ensure smooth implementation of the policy.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that since farmers mostly assess the requirement of urea in terms of bags for agriculture purpose, it is estimated that the availability of urea in 45 kg bags instead of 50 kg bag may bring down consumption of urea by 10%.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;The primary benefits of neem coating is the slow release of urea, said union minister Rao Inderjit Singh&#8221; New Delhi: January 2, 2018 The availability of urea in 45 kg bags instead of 50 kg bags may bring down consumption of urea by 10 percent, parliament was informed on Tuesday.
