K. Gujral Punjab Technical University Organized One day Sensitization workshop on substance use disorder and start campaign Volunteer teachers,<\/p>\n<p>students drug abuse awareness campaign today. To take responsibility of awareness about de-addiction, University join hands with district de-addiction &amp; rehabilitation society Kapurthala. IAS Mohammad<\/p>\n<p>Tayyab, Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala inaugurated this awerness workshop &amp; campaign as Chief Guest. During the inauguration Deputy Commissioner assured to organizers that as Chairman of district<\/p>\n<p>de-addiction &amp; rehabilitation society, he will give full support to University faculty &amp; Students to create maximum awareness in its nearby area. He said that it is matter of proud that Kapurthala is taking leads by starting awearness campaigns in the district from last six months. He discussed about the three stages of addict person and also told to faculty about their responsibility as teacher to the young minds.<\/p>\n<p>On inaugural session, University&#8217;s Director Student Welfare Dr S S Ahluwalia, who is holding the charge of Chairman of this activity, welcomed to all. Dr Ahluwalia stressed that we are in proud that IKG PTU<\/p>\n<p>campus is totally drug free but we have to start working to maintain this proud in future too. Dean Academics, Dr Balkar Singh shared his vast experiences that how to motivate students about de-addiction<br \/>\nand how the young minds can be the sorce of inspiration to the entire world. He put examples about the strength of student-teachers relationship and guide to perform this social duty on priority.<\/p>\n<p>During this event Dr. Sandeep Bhola, MD, Master Trainer district de-addiction &amp; rehabilitation society interacted with faculty and guide them to awareness, motivation &amp; how to maintain check in campus &amp;society.
