The programme was<\/p>\n<p>held in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Amritsar. Fruit science experts namely Dr P.P.S. Gill, Senior Horticulturist; Dr Navprem Singh, Associate Professor of Horticulture; and Dr Mandeep Singh Gill,<\/p>\n<p>Assistant Horticulturist; gave practical demonstrations on training and pruning techniques in deciduous fruit plants.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Gursharan Singh Chinna, Deputy Director Horticulture, Amritsar, along with the officers of the State Department of Horticulture, discussed the cultivation and management of pear, peach and plum crops.<\/p>\n<p>Besides, subject-matter specialists of KVK Amritsar deliberated on feasibility of inter-crops and importance of soil sampling in the orchards.
