However, he said that instead of welcoming this pro-farmers\u2019 decision, the AAP leadership has announced to oppose this program. Rana Gurjeet Singh said that this reflects the non-seriousness of the AAP in ensuring the well being of the farmers.<\/p>\n<p>Coming down heavily on the AAP, the Minister said that the AAP leadership has no sympathy with the farmers rather this entire move was aimed at hogging media limelight. He said that the political gimmicks being done by the AAP on this grave issue was totally unwarranted and undesirable. Rana Gurjeet Singh said that the people had already shown door to these people for their anti-people stance.<\/p>\n<p>The Cabinet Minister said that the Congress government under the visionary and dynamic leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh was committed to emerge Punjab as frontrunner state in the country. He said that besides taking initiatives to strengthen the fiscal position of the state and give boost to its overall development, the Captain government was giving due attention towards giving a clean and transparent administration to the people. Likewise, Rana Gurjeet Singh said that strenuous efforts were afoot to ensure well being of every strata of the society.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, the Cabinet Minister said that massive efforts were being made to provide employment opportunities for the youth. He said that 275 jobs were given to the youth on compassionate ground in Punjab State Power Corporation Limited and 800 Patwaris have been handed over appointment letters in irrigation department.
