\nNew Delhi : A toddler was crushed to death after a man jumped off a building to commit suicide \u2013 and landed on him.<\/p>\n
The boy, who was just 21-months-old, had been walking near the apartment block entrance with his dad when the 39-year-old jumped.<\/p>\n
As well as the boy, the suicidal man, a construction worker identified only by his surname, Yevgeny, was also killed in the incident in Zaporizhia, Ukraine.<\/p>\n
They live on the floor above where the man \u2013 a neighbour \u2013 had jumped.By the time she came back outside, an ambulance had arrived and paramedics were frantically trying to save the child.<\/p>\n
Neighbor Sergey Borisov said: \u2018I heard a loud thump.

\n\u2018The boy\u2019s mother rushed out. She ran to the ambulance where paramedics were seeking to save the child, and understood everything instantly.<\/p>\n
\u2018I had to shut my windows because there was so much agonising pain in her screams.<\/p>\n
\u2018I just couldn\u2019t bear hearing them.\u2019<\/p>\n
Another neighbour said: \u2018A paramedic came out of the ambulance, and saw us all waiting for news.<\/p>\n

\u2018You know\u2026 this was the first time in my life when I heard so many people praying out loud.’<\/p>\n
\u2018The toddler crumpled from the strength of the hit. We tried to reanimate his heart and lungs.’ but he died in the ambulance .<\/p>\n
A police spokeswoman said: \u2018We are investigating the reasons that pushed the man to suicide.
