{"id":18479,"date":"2018-01-13T10:40:39","date_gmt":"2018-01-13T10:40:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabnews24.com\/?p=18479"},"modified":"2018-01-13T10:40:39","modified_gmt":"2018-01-13T10:40:39","slug":"army-chief-pak-wont-seek-resumption-of-suspended-military-aid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/army-chief-pak-wont-seek-resumption-of-suspended-military-aid\/","title":{"rendered":"Army chief: Pak won\u2019t seek resumption of suspended military aid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad,<br \/>\nPakistan will not seek the resumption of suspended US military aid and feels \u201cbetrayed\u201d by the recent critical statements of the American leadership against Islamabad\u2019s fight against terrorism, army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said.<\/p>\n<p>President Donald Trump has accused Pakistan of providing safe havens for terror groups like the Afghan Taliban and the Haqqani Network fighting in war-torn Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>On January 1, Trump tweeted that the US had \u201cfoolishly\u201d given Pakistan more than $33 billion in aid in the last 15 years and had gotten nothing in return but \u201clies &amp; deceit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Washington has confirmed that it will withhold nearly $2 billion in aid to Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>Gen Bajwa received two telephone calls from Commander US Central Command General Joseph L.
