SURJIT PATAR ALSO EXPRESSES GRIEF<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CHANDIGARH,<\/p>\n<p>The Local Government, Cultural Affairs and Tourism Minister, Punjab, Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu has expressed shock over the demise of artist-painter Mr. Malkiat Singh who passed away this morning. He was 75.<\/p>\n<p>Calling the demise of Mr. Malkiat Singh a huge loss for the artistic world, Mr. Sidhu said that Mr. Malkiat Singh always kept the love for rural Punjab uppermost in his artistic creations of excellence.<\/p>\n<p>The minister prayed to the almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss.<\/p>\n<p>The Chairman of the Punjab Kala Parishad Padamshri Dr. Surjit Patar has also expressed grief at the passing away of Mr. Malkiat Singh describing him as a rare gem of the art world.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DR.
