In some selected venues from the different parts of Northern India, people gather regularly to watch these \u2018dog fights\u2019. In states like Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab this inhumane activity is ramping up on a daily basis. These fights have moved from rural pockets of Punjab and Haryana to urban spaces. Pedigree dogs attack each other like gladiators, often resulting in death which is nothing but the latest pastime of northern India\u2019s suburban rich.<\/p>\n<p>If you have been outraged by images of dogs being killed for Yulin festival in China, you need to look these horrendous activity trending in India. Despite a proper law and a few arrests, the popularity of the sport hasn\u2019t decreased. Union Cabinet Minister for Women &#038; Child Development, Maneka Gandhi said: \u201cI have been aware of this issue for three years now. The dogs are starved, beaten and brutally treated. The losers are either killed or tied with chains to drown in canals.
