There are 1,300 tail-ends in the state and we have ensured water availability at 1,200. The remaining tail-ends will get water on the completion of ongoing repairs of minor canals, distributaries and canals soon,\u201d said the Chief Minister.<\/p>\n<p>The Chief Minister claimed that the previous state governments had lacked the commitment to ensure water for the tail-ends.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are several canals which have been lying dry for between 25 and 30 years, especially along the border with Rajasthan.
