Dr. Dhiraj Sharma interacted with the students on Recent Reforms in Financial Sector, recent trends of financial markets including Regulators, The banking system, Non-banking finance companies, The capital market, Mutual funds, Overall approach to reforms, Deregulation of banking system, Capital market developments, Consolidation imperative etc.<\/p>\n
Dr. Dhiraj added that India recorded strong growth in recent years in both economic activity and financial assets. The financial sector is grappling with significant challenges and growth has recently slowed. High nonperforming assets (NPAs) and slow deleveraging and repair of corporate balance sheets are testing the resilience of the banking system and holding back investment and growth.<\/p>\n
Dr. Sharma further made the students aware regarding recent trends and development financial structure of economy Indian Banking Sector – Recent Developments, Growth and prospects.<\/p>\n
