That\u2019s because she doesn\u2019t mind waiting to pick the right projects. Can being this choosy, at times, get risky? \u201cOh yeah,\u201d says Neha. \u201cI definitely think that being choosy is risky. It\u2019s not a good idea because it\u2019s one of those things when you are out of sight and out of mind. So, I don\u2019t want to be away for too long.\u201d<\/p>\n
The actor believes that not doing many films at the same time is far better than doing something that\u2019s not worth it. \u201cBeing associated with a project that\u2019s not at par ends up hurting you a lot more than not being around… You can feel very princely doing film after film, and then the audience is not accepting or approving of it. So, you need to undo, and do [the right thing] again,\u201d says Neha, adding that she learned this very late in her career.<\/p>\n
\u201cI remember a very good casting director in the business told me that \u2018you don\u2019t need to undo anything that you have done.Your only flaw is that you haven\u2019t done anything, which is also, in a way, good for the director, because then they can mould you in any way because you\u2019ve been away for long,\u201d explains the actor, who starred in Tumhari Sulu, Hindi Medium and Qarib Qarib Singlle last year.<\/p>\n
However, Neha asserts that she is not one of those who sit at home and do nothing to find more work. \u201cThat\u2019s one thing I can\u2019t do. I am constantly hustling and making sure that I\u2019m doing something or the other. I am dabbling between all platforms \u2014 TV, films, LIVE events, digital, production. In this day and age, if you are doing anything less than five jobs, then you are not doing enough,\u201d says Neha, sounding content with her career graph. \u201cSo, even when I am not doing films, I am doing what is expected out of my own brand and I try and do things that are of interest to me, and therefore generate interest in the audience,\u201d she signs off.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
