The newly elected team of Punjab Agricultural University Teachers Association (PAUTA) assumed its charge today. They were given their appointment letters by the Electoral Officer, Dr K.S. Thind and Assistant Electoral Officers, Dr Salamuddin and Dr S.S. Hundal.<\/p>\n
The newly elected executive body comprises Dr R.K. Sharda as President, Dr Navprem Singh as Secretary, Dr Kushwinder Singh Brar as Vice-President, Dr Anil Sharma as Joint Secretary and Dr Parminder Singh as treasurer of PAUTA. In addition, Dr Harpreet Singh, Dr Ravinder Singh Chandi, Dr Surjit Singh Minhas, Dr S.S. Dhaliwal, Dr Mohammad Javed and Dr Ritu Gupta also won the elections as members of the association. Scientists from outstations including Dr Bikramjit Singh Gill and Dr Jagdish Singh from Gurdaspur, Dr Satbir Singh from Sangrur and Dr Sudhir Thaman from Bathinda, won the elections as councilors.<\/p>\n
Dr Rakesh Sharda said every candidate of their group won the election by the margin of 200. Apart from PAU, scientists of Regional Research Stations, Krishi Vigyan Kendras and Farm Advisory Service Centres also participated, he added.<\/p>\n
Dr Navprem Singh said that every effort would be made for the welfare of the teaching fraternity and activities for the next year would be planned in consultation with the faculty.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
