{"id":27470,"date":"2018-04-09T11:54:56","date_gmt":"2018-04-09T11:54:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabnews24.com\/?p=27470"},"modified":"2018-04-09T11:54:56","modified_gmt":"2018-04-09T11:54:56","slug":"bjp-announces-first-list-of-candidates-for-karnataka-polls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/bjp-announces-first-list-of-candidates-for-karnataka-polls\/","title":{"rendered":"BJP announces first list of candidates for Karnataka polls"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bharatiya Janta Party has announced the first list of 72 candidates to contest in the May 12 Karnataka assembly elections for the 224 seats across the southern<\/p>\n<p>state.<\/p>\n<p>The decision was taken at the party&#8217;s central election committee meeting which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah and<\/p>\n<p>other senior party leaders, including Rajnath Singh at the party HQ in New Delhi.<\/p>\n<p>Among the candidates are many of the party&#8217;s 48 sitting or outgoing legislators from the state&#8217;s northern, central and southern region, including Bengaluru, which<\/p>\n<p>has 28 assembly constituencies.<\/p>\n<p>Prominent leaders contesting the elections include party&#8217;s chief ministerial candidate B S Yeddyurapp, Jagadish Shettar and B.
