\nAfter Twitter war, Health Minister Anil Vij and Hisar MP and INLD leader Dushyant Chautala are bracing up for a prolonged legal battle.<\/p>\n
On the heels of the MP shooting off a legal notice to Vij seeking unconditional apology for maligning his reputation by calling him a \u2018drug addict\u2019, the Health Department is set to send him a notice countering his allegations against the department.<\/p>\n
\u201cDushyant would be sent a notice and asked to explain his baseless allegations of Rs 300-crore scam in the purchase of certain medicines in the state. How can there be a scam of Rs 300 crore in the purchase of medicines worth Rs 48 crore,\u201d asked Vij.<\/p>\n
Alleging that Dushyant was levelling baseless allegations against the Health Department, VIJ asserted that the state government had already decided to get the matter of alleged irregularities in the purchase of medicines probed by the Principal Accountant General, Haryana, an autonomous body, to get to the bottom of the matter.<\/p>\n
The war of words between the minister and the MP intensified when Vij had stated that Dushyant has \u201cstarted taking drugs and he should go to some rehabilitation centre\u201d.<\/p>\n
Vij\u2019s below the belt remark came in the wake of the MP alleging various scams in the Health Department under him. After Vij\u2019s \u2018drug addict\u2019 remarks, Dushyant retorted calling minister a \u201csadak chhap\u201d for his spat with a woman IPS officer in Sirsa in 2015.<\/p>\n
In his legal notice, Dushyant made it clear that if Vij failed to tender an apology within a week, he would file a civil as well as criminal case for defaming him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
