Hon\u2019ble the Chief Justice also inaugurated Child Counselling-Cum-Mediation Room in Court Room No.60.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The CR\u00c8CHE has been made in conformity with the \u2018The Maternity Benefit Act, 1961\u2019 which provides that every establishment having fifty or more employees shall have the facility of CR\u00c8CHE. The foundation stone of the CR\u00c8CHE was laid on 24th January, 2018 and thereafter under the supervision and directions of the Hon\u2019ble Building Committee of the High Court headed by Chairman Hon\u2019ble Mr.Justice Surya Kant, the work of opening the CR\u00c8CHE was completed at immense pace with the co-operation of the Chandigarh Administration.<\/p>\n<p>The admission to the CR\u00c8CHE will be on the first come first serve basis. Similar CR\u00c8CHE under the supervision of the Building Committee is also likely to be opened in the near future at the Old Court Building in High Court Extension, Sector \u2013 17, Chandigarh.<\/p>\n<p>Special attention was paid by Hon\u2019ble Ms.Justice Ritu Bahri during the upcoming of the CR\u00c8CHE as well as Child Counselling-Cum-Mediation Room. For the Child Counselling-Cum-Mediation Room special contributions have been made by Hon\u2019ble the Chief Justice, the families of Hon\u2019ble Mr.Justice M.M.S.Bedi, Hon\u2019ble Mr.Justice Jitender Chauhan, Hon\u2019ble Mr.Justice Augustine George Masih, Hon\u2019ble Mr.Justice A.L.Bahri (Retd.) and other Lordships\u2019 in the form of useful gift items such as cot, books, paintings etc.<\/p>\n<p>Court Room No. 60 provides an atmosphere which is friendly and conducive to children who accompany their parents to court proceedings while making a departure from its usual court atmosphere. Special female attendants have been deputed to ensure safety of children and for the upkeep and maintenance of the room. The arrangements have also been made for tea, coffee and soup vending machines.<\/p>\n<p>The Child Counselling-Cum-Mediation Room is also used aschildren\u2019s Waiting Rooms and Day care centre which provides all facilities to children whose parents are attending a court hearing as a litigant.
