This gas facility will be provided on the priority to the religious places of this holy city and this facility of affordable and pollution free gas supply will be provided to the schools and commercial institutions also. A CNG gas station will also be set up in the city.<\/p>\n<p>This was disclosed here by Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Rana Kanwar Pal Singh while initiating the construction of gas pipeline by Bharat Petroleum near Virasat-e-Khalsa. He said that the first ever gas pipeline in Punjab was started from Nangal where a 60-kilometer gas pipeline has been layed and supply of gas through the steel and fiber pipeline has been reached to approximately 1000 houses. In the next few days, 200 consumers from Nangal will start enjoying this facility.<\/p>\n<p>Referring to Sri Anandpur Sahib, Rana K.P. Singh said that it is the second city of the constituency where 41 kilometer gas pipeline would be layed. \u201d Bharat Petroleum has completed all the arrangements. This gas is more safe, affordable and pollution-free. Apart from this, people will also get rid of the transportation of LPG cylinders. Next project will be started in K\u012bratpur Sahib and with its completion; Sri Anandpur Sahib would be the first such constituency of Punjab where consumers will avail the facility of gas pipeline\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Rana K.P. Singh said that in 2002 when he was elected to the Vidhan Sabha from this constituency for the first time, he has asked a senior officer of NFL to make efforts to bring gas pipeline into the factory and when he became the chief parliamentary secretary for Industry, he asked the then chief minister Capt. Amarinder Singh to demand from central government to bring the gas pipeline from Charkhi Dadri. The Chief Minister accepted the proposal and today the area is all set to become a highly developed and prosperous area. He expressed hope that it would attract big factories and industries in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Bharat Petroleum Chief Manager Rajinder Kumar said that the company has successfully brought gas pipeline in this area and credit for the same goes to Rana KP Singh&#8217;s efforts. He said that the pressure of this gas pipeline is very low and there is no possibility of an accident.
