\nTwenty per cent of all the government health facilities in the country certified for meeting quality parameters of the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare are from Haryana.<\/p>\n
Dr JN Srivastava, Advisor, National Health System Resource Centre (NHSRC), revealed this at a function held here on Friday to felicitate government health facilities of the state for Quality Improvement in Healthcare Services.<\/p>\n
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who was chief guest at the function organised by the State Health System Resource Centre (SHSRC), felicitated 18 health facilities nationally certified as per NQAS, four others for National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH) certification and one hospital for National Accreditation Board for Laboratories (NABL) certification.<\/p>\n
Khattar awarded Civil Hospital, Panchkula, described by Srivastava as the best government hospital of the country, with a cash award of Rs 47.5 lakh for NQAS as well as NABH certification to its credit.<\/p>\n
Gurugram Civil Hospital got Rs 31.92 lakh, Faridabad Civil Hospital bagged Rs 28.14 lakh, Rohtak Civil Hospital got Rs 25.33 lakh while other 15 health facilities received cash award of Rs 2 lakh or more depending upon the quality improvement achieved.<\/p>\n
Urging doctors working in government health facilities to be sensitive to the woes of patients, Khattar said his government\u2019s aim was to provide better facilities in government hospitals.<\/p>\n
He said education and health were the two sectors important for human development and progress of a country.<\/p>\n
Health Minister Anil Vij said the state government had taken up 44 health facilities of the state for improving quality parameters and applying for NQAS certification.<\/p>\n
The minister said the government had set a target of making 84 health facilities NQAS or NABL certified by the year end.<\/p>\n
