His daughter, Soundarya Rajinikanth, took to Twitter to share a short clip of the superstar, which has gone viral. In the video, hundreds of fans can be seen waiting at the airport to see their favourite star. As Rajinikanth emerges, we can hear loud cheers of Thalaiva, the name Rajini has been given by his fans. The media and the public are seen crowding around the actor at the airport.<\/p>\n
The video has a background score too – the recently released single from Kaala, Semma Weightu – which has only reiterated the star\u2019s image among his fans. His return to the city could be compared to the hero\u2019s entry scene that one sees on the silver screen. Rajinikanth\u2019s Kaala is about a don, Kaala Karikaalan, hailing from Tamil Nadu who settled in Dharavi, Mumbai. He will fight for the underprivileged against an unfair system in the film. He questions the prejudice that comes along with being a labourer, a dark skinned one at that.<\/p>\n
Director Pa Ranjith, who earlier worked with Rajinikanth in Kabali has helmed this project which is produced by Rainikanth\u2019s actor-director son-in-law Dhanush under Wunderbar Studios.
