{"id":30472,"date":"2018-05-08T11:24:37","date_gmt":"2018-05-08T11:24:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabnews24.com\/?p=30472"},"modified":"2018-05-08T11:24:37","modified_gmt":"2018-05-08T11:24:37","slug":"pak-minister-undergoes-surgery-after-murder-bid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/pak-minister-undergoes-surgery-after-murder-bid\/","title":{"rendered":"Pak minister undergoes surgery after murder bid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lahore,<br \/>\nPakistan\u2019s Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal was stable as he underwent two surgeries today after being shot in an assassination bid by a religious fanatic in Punjab province weeks ahead of the general election, as a second suspect has been arrested in the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Iqbal, 59, a senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader, was hit by a bullet on his right shoulder in the attack yesterday after he addressed an election rally in his constituency Narowal.<\/p>\n<p>An official at the Services Hospital here said the surgery was successful and Iqbal is recovering well. \u201cIqbal is out of danger,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Iqbal underwent two consecutive surgeries and has now been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital. \u201cThe abdominal laparoscopy of Iqbal has been performed.
