Celiac disease constitutes 4% of all childhood diarrheal mortality.<\/p>\n<p>Symptoms of Celiac disease in children<\/p>\n<p>Chronic diarrhoea<br \/>\nPoor growth<br \/>\nShort stature<br \/>\nAnaemia<br \/>\nPoor school performance<br \/>\nExcessive fatigue or lethargy<br \/>\nLow body weight and weakness<\/p>\n<p>It is responsible for the malabsorption of nutrients resulting in malnutrition. If left untreated, people with celiac disease can develop further complications.<\/p>\n<p>Management of Celiac disease<\/p>\n<p>Restrict wheat and wheat products<br \/>\nTake gluten free diet<br \/>\nInclude Rice, Bajra or gram flour (Besan) in diet<br \/>\nNon-vegetarian diet can be taken<br \/>\nTake Milk and milk products<\/p>\n<p>Symptoms of celiac may change over a period of time and may be different each time.
