{"id":32749,"date":"2018-06-01T11:47:44","date_gmt":"2018-06-01T11:47:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabnews24.com\/?p=32749"},"modified":"2018-06-01T11:47:44","modified_gmt":"2018-06-01T11:47:44","slug":"fifa-lifts-suspension-on-guatemala","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/fifa-lifts-suspension-on-guatemala\/","title":{"rendered":"FIFA lifts suspension on Guatemala"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FIFA lifted a suspension imposed on Guatemala 18 months ago over its failure to comply with anti-corruption rules.<\/p>\n<p>The suspension prevented Guatemalan teams from participating in international competitions such as the Gold Cup, the Central American Games and the CONCACAF Champions League.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;FIFA has today lifted the suspension that was imposed on the Guatemalan Football Association&#8221; Fedefut, it said in a statement on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Football&#8217;s governing body said it made the decision after receiving a letter from Juan Carlos Rios, the head of a FIFA-appointed &#8220;Normalization Committee&#8221; to oversee the Fedefut.<\/p>\n<p>The letter confirmed that the committee was operational.
