Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran is based on the nuclear bomb test explosions conducted by the Indian Army at Pokhran in Rajasthan in 1998. The film, directed by Abhishek Sharma of Tere Bin Laden fame, opened to mixed reviews from critics. The audiences, however, lapped it up.
