{"id":34654,"date":"2018-06-19T12:16:05","date_gmt":"2018-06-19T12:16:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabnews24.com\/?p=34654"},"modified":"2018-06-19T12:16:05","modified_gmt":"2018-06-19T12:16:05","slug":"ed-files-supplementary-chargesheet-against-vijay-mallya","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/ed-files-supplementary-chargesheet-against-vijay-mallya\/","title":{"rendered":"ED files supplementary chargesheet against Vijay Mallya"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Enforcement Directorate has filed a prosecution complaint or a supplementary charge-sheet against liquor baron Vijay Mallya under the Fugitive Economic Offenders Ordinance.<\/p>\n<p>The document has been filed before a special court under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, naming the defunct Kingfisher Airlines, UBHL and Vijay Mallya under the new law.<\/p>\n<p>The Fugitive Economic Offenders Ordinance, 2018 aims to deter economic offenders from evading the law by remaining outside the jurisdiction of Indian courts.<\/p>\n<p>Vijay Mallya is the first person to be booked under the new law to deal with those who commit financial crimes and leave the country.
