{"id":35113,"date":"2018-06-24T12:14:33","date_gmt":"2018-06-24T12:14:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabnews24.com\/?p=35113"},"modified":"2018-06-24T12:14:33","modified_gmt":"2018-06-24T12:14:33","slug":"hafiz-saeeds-son-son-in-law-to-contest-pakistan-elections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/hafiz-saeeds-son-son-in-law-to-contest-pakistan-elections\/","title":{"rendered":"Hafiz Saeed\u2019s son, son-in-law to contest Pakistan elections"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief Hafiz Saeed\u2019s son and son-in-law will be contesting from Punjab province in the July 25 general elections.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Election Commission of Pakistan has accepted the nomination papers of Hafiz Talha Saeed and Hafiz Khalid Waleed for National Assembly seat-91 and National Assembly seat-133 respectively, the Dawn, quoted JuD\u2019s Deputy Information Secretary Ahmed Nadeem, as saying.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, the two are among 265 candidates who have been fielded by the Jamaat-ud -Dawah for contesting the upcoming polls on the little-known Allah-o-Akbar Tehreek\u2019s ticket, registered with the Election Commission of Pakistan .<\/p>\n<p>The AAT was formed about 15 years ago and was registered with the ECP in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>The JuD, a front for the Lashkar-e-Taiba terror outfit which carried out the 2008 Mumbai attack which claimed 166 lives, launched its political front Milli Muslim League (MML).<\/p>\n<p>The ECP had earlier rejected MML\u2019s application to register Saeed\u2019s political party on the Pakistan interior ministry\u2019s recommendation, saying that the \u201cMML has links with banned militant outfits\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In a letter to ECP in September last year, the interior ministry said the \u2018recent political activities of MML have been officially objected to at the diplomatic level\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The MML will put forward candidates from 80 NA and 185 provincial seats from across Pakistan, the report said.<\/p>\n<p>However, Punjab will remain the focus, where 50 NA and 152 provincial assembly candidates will be contesting from.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief Hafiz Saeed\u2019s son and son-in-law will be contesting from Punjab province in the July 25 general elections.
