{"id":35728,"date":"2018-06-30T11:50:35","date_gmt":"2018-06-30T11:50:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabnews24.com\/?p=35728"},"modified":"2018-06-30T11:50:35","modified_gmt":"2018-06-30T11:50:35","slug":"harmanpreet-kaur-becomes-second-indian-pick-in-kia-super-league","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/harmanpreet-kaur-becomes-second-indian-pick-in-kia-super-league\/","title":{"rendered":"Harmanpreet Kaur becomes second Indian pick in Kia Super League"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>India\u2019s T20 International skipper Harmanpreet Kaur on Friday became the second Indian after her deputy Smriti Mandhana to be signed by a Kia Super League club.<\/p>\n<p>Harmanpreet will play for Lancashire Thunder in the 2018 season of the league, the club announced on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Smriti was snapped up by defending champions Western Storm.<\/p>\n<p>Harmanpreet, who became the first Indian player to sign a Big Bash League contract, was slated to play for the Surrey Stars in last year\u2019s competition but had to miss out because of a shoulder injury sustained at the 2017 World Cup.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am so pleased to sign for Lancashire Thunder ahead of the 2018 Kia Super League,\u201d Harmanpreet said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have followed the KSL for a while and I can\u2019t wait to finally play in the competition, especially at a stadium like Old Trafford.
