{"id":36141,"date":"2018-07-05T11:46:24","date_gmt":"2018-07-05T11:46:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabnews24.com\/?p=36141"},"modified":"2018-07-05T11:46:24","modified_gmt":"2018-07-05T11:46:24","slug":"shashi-tharoor-gets-anticipatory-bail-in-pushkar-death-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/shashi-tharoor-gets-anticipatory-bail-in-pushkar-death-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Shashi Tharoor gets anticipatory bail in Pushkar death case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New Delhi<br \/>\nA Delhi court on Thursday granted anticipatory bail to Congress leader Shashi Tharoor in a case relating to his wife Sunanda Pushkar\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p>The Thiruvananthapuram MP has already been summoned as an accused on July 7 in the case.<\/p>\n<p>Special Judge Arvind Kumar granted Tharoor the relief on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh while directing him to neither tamper with evidence nor leave the country without the court\u2019s prior permission.<\/p>\n<p>Pushkar was found dead in a suite of a luxury hotel in the city on the night of January 17, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>In his plea for anticipatory bail, Tharoor had submitted that the chargesheet in the case was filed and the Special Investigation Team had categorically stated that the probe was concluded and that his custodial interrogation was not required.<\/p>\n<p>The court had summoned him as an accused in the case on June 5, asking him to appear before it on July 7 observing that there were sufficient grounds to proceed against him.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New Delhi A Delhi court on Thursday granted anticipatory bail to Congress leader Shashi Tharoor in a case relating to his wife Sunanda Pushkar\u2019s death.
