Birthdays are special for everyone. And so it is for Kriti Sanon, who cuts the cake today. However, at times she does feel that the birthday hoopla is a bit overrated, shares the actor. Why? Kriti replies, \u201cBecause you start getting this happy feeling everyone makes you feel that this is your birthday week… But it just comes and goes so fast that you don\u2019t even realise it.\u201d That might be truer this time than in other years, as it\u2019s a \u2018working birthday\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve just come back from London after finishing a schedule of Housefull 4, and I have one week before I start shooting for Luka Chuppi. So this one week will go all in the prep,\u201d she says. Besides these, Kriti will also be seen in two more films, Panipat and Arjun Patiala.<\/p>\n
But it\u2019s not all work and no play for the star. There was a pre-birthday bash, in fact. Kriti says, \u201cI don\u2019t remember when was the last time I celebrated my birthday on my own. But this time was different. It was Dinesh Vijan\u2019s birthday on July 26, so we just randomly thought of throwing a party together. It was like celebrating his special day and breaking into mine.\u201d<\/p>\n
There\u2019s another reason why this party was memorable. The actor, who\u2019s just five films old in Bollywood, says, \u201cTechnically speaking, it can be called my first filmi party as I\u2019ve not done this before (laughs). And I think it was fun. So today, I\u2019m home relaxing, chilling and trying get over the party exhaustion. I\u2019ll get back into prep by the evening.\u201d The Bareilly Ki Barfi actor adds, \u201cI think birthdays should be about celebration and one should also get the feel of being busy. Working on your birthday is a good feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kriti doesn\u2019t expect much from her birthdays, except for this one surprise that sister Nupur always plans for her. \u201cThough a part of you expects a lot, I try and avoid too much expectation,\u201d says the actor, \u201cbecause when things don\u2019t happen accordingly, it makes you feel sad. I know Nupur has got something for me and I\u2019ve been looking forward to that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Every year, Nupur buys a special gift for her and the big reveal is a lot of fun. Kriti says, \u201cShe\u2019ll buy something a little before my birthday and then she\u2019ll start getting restless and start asking me a few days before, or two days before, \u2018Can I show it to you?\u2019 And I am like, \u2018No, don\u2019t show it to me right now, it spoils half the surprise,\u2019\u201d says the elder sister, laughing heartily.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s this one time when Nupur made a scrapbook for Kriti with the help of their mother. The actor still cherishes it; she carried it with her to Mumbai when she was shifting from Delhi.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
