The minister divulged that the Punjab Cabinet has given a big relief to the SC employees of the government sector by restoring the 14 percent reservation quota in promotions of group \u2018A\u2019 and \u2018B\u2019 services and 20 percent quota in group \u2018D\u2019 services. This reservation would also be applicable with regard to the proforma promotion and the appointment through transfer of the SC category employees.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Chaudhary further said that this was the long pending demand of the SC category employees and by fulfilling it the Captain Government has won the hearts of the SC category people. The minister also said that dalits constitute one-third of the population in Punjab which is the highest in country.
