He underwent a laberal repair surgery in Manchester today under the supervision of BCCI Medical Team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Saha has been struggling with injuries since the start of 2018 when he left the tour of South Africa early with a hamstring injury. Later he suffered a thumb injury which kept his participation in Indian Premier League to only a few matches. The injury also kept him out of the one-off test against Afghanistan, which India went on to win inside two days.<\/p>\n<p>It was later learnt that the Bengal wicket-keeper had a shoulder injury which would rule him out of the England Tour. The injury initially was thought to be a minor one but the rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy was messed up, meaning he would require a surgery.<\/p>\n<p>With the surgery, Saha is expected to be out of action for somewhere between six to eight months which will rule him out for the upcoming Test series in Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Since making his debut in 2010 against South Africa Wriddhiman Saha has played 32 Tests for India.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>India wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha underwent a laberal repair surgery on his shoulder in Manchester on Wednesday.
