In a detailed and freewheeling interview given to a newspaper, Prime Minister Narendra Modi touched upon many relevant topics. Prime Minister also spoke about the state of the economy and the efforts NDA govt took to turn it around. The Prime Minister also reiterated govt\u2019s resolve for women\u2019s security and their empowerment, adding that the empowerment of women is a central theme that runs through government programmes.<\/p>\n

He said that reform process was followed up in govt\u2019s fiscal policies. The fiscal deficit that was 4.4% in 2013-14 has been targeted to be brought down to 3.3% in 2018-19. Inflation rate has been brought down to 3.3% in 2017.<\/p>\n

PM further said that the govt is<\/p>\n

\u2013\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0focusing on incentivising job creation across the manufacturing and services sector
\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0investing in future generations to provide better health care through Ayushman Bharat
\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0MUDRA loans that number more than 13 crores, the start-ups that have come up and are flourishing, are all contributing to the growth story
\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0the IMF, World Bank and the ADB are also recognising India as a bright star as far as economic growth is concerned.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister also reiterated govt\u2019s resolve for women\u2019s security and their empowerment, adding that the empowerment of women is a central theme that runs through government programmes.<\/p>\n
