\nShiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Sunday held the ISI responsible for attacking DSGMC president Manjit Singh GK outside a gurdwara in the US.Addressing a rally to mark the Rakhar Punia fair here, Sukhbir claimed that the link between the Congress and parallel Jathedars had been exposed. He alleged that one of the attackers had been identified as the son of a witness in the anti-Sikh riots case, who had taken a bribe from Jagdish Tytler and migrated to the US.He alleged that the attack had been planned by Pakistan\u2019s ISI and executed by the agents of parallel Jathedars, including Dhian Singh Mand and Baljeet Singh Daduwal.The Akali Dal president alleged that the parallel Jathedars had been colluding with the Congress to weaken the Sikh Panth. He questioned how these jathedars had become rich overnight and started travelling in swanky cars? \u201cThey are receiving funds from Germany and other countries as they neither own any farms nor businesses,\u201d he claimed.Former Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia alleged that another attempt by the Justice Ranjit Singh Commission to concoct evidence about a meeting being held at actor Akshay Kumar\u2019s house in Mumbai had also fallen flat with the actor denying it.Warning people about the \u201cdangerous politics\u201d being played by the Congress, Majithia said the Congress was the same party that had attacked Sri Darbar Sahib with tanks and mortars and killed a large number of Sikhs in 1984.Senior Akali leaders Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, Bibi Jagir Kaur and Virsa Singh Valtoha also spoke on \u201chow the Congress is using the Panthic issues to divide the community\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u2018Bid to divide sikhs\u2019
\nAmritsar: Accusing the anti-Sikh forces for the attack on Manjit Singh GK, SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal said vested interests were fuelling the fire to create division in the community. \u201cIt is disheartening that the turban of a Sikh was removed by other Sikhs after being influenced by anti-Panthic forces,\u201d said Longowal. He demanded strong action against the attackers.<\/p>\n
Tytler to blame: MP
\nFatehgarh Sahib: Akali MP Prem Singh Chandumajra on Sunday alleged that Congress leader Jagdish Tytler was responsible for the attack Manjeet Singh GK, as “one of the attackers has been identified as son of Surjeet Singh, a witness in Tytler case who had turned hostile”. He said Akali Dal MPs would meet External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Monday to urge her to take up the matter with the US strongly and to get register a murder case against the attackers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
