Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and husband Abhishek Bachchan coming together for a film was always going to be a big news and buzz around Gulab Jamun has justified this. The Anurag Kashyap will see Abhishek and Aishwarya collaborating after eight years and the former Miss World says she committed to the film much before Abhishek did.\u201cI agreed on it early last year. At that time, Abhishek had taken a small break to review his work. It was a good move because I think every professional should do that. He just wanted to sit back and decide what he wanted to do next,\u201d she said in an interview to DNA.She added, \u201cHe chose Manmarziyaan then, and now with Anurag directing this one (Gulab Jamun) too, people have incidentally put it together and there have been a lot of re-mentions. We will set the plan to do this one soon.\u201d<\/p>\n
Earlier, Abhishek had opened up on collaborating with Aishwarya in the film and said, \u201cGulab Jamun is a sweet film and it\u2019s always a pleasure to work with the missus. Every time we\u2019ve done a film together, it\u2019s been special.\u201dAishwarya also said that there was another project on which they were supposed to work together but Abhishek apparently did not like the idea so much and moved on. She added that they are both \u2018liberated as artistes\u2019 and it is not as if she will not do the film if Abhishek is not in it. \u201cBut it still needs to be ideally cast. Only then you will see the magic on screen.\u201dOn Wednesday, there was buzz that Aishwarya chose Gulab Jamun over a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film; Aishwarya has not commented on this. \u201cAishwarya had to choose between working with Bhansali and sharing screen space with her husband, as the dates for both films were clashing. And she chose the film with her husband. They haven\u2019t worked together in eight years. And more importantly, both of them have fabulous roles in Gulab Jamun. They\u2019re going to be playing characters they\u2019ve never played before,\u201d a source was quoted as saying in a Deccan Chronicle report.Abhishek will be seen in manmarziyaan while Aishwarya had a release, Fanney Khan, last month. They were last seen together in Mani Ratnam\u2019s Raavan.<\/p>\n
