{"id":40779,"date":"2018-08-31T12:01:18","date_gmt":"2018-08-31T12:01:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=40779"},"modified":"2018-08-31T12:01:18","modified_gmt":"2018-08-31T12:01:18","slug":"arunachal-assam-on-flood-alert","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/arunachal-assam-on-flood-alert\/","title":{"rendered":"Arunachal, Assam on flood alert"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An alert has been sounded by the Arunachal Pradesh government regarding possibility of flash floods in the river Siang.<\/p>\n<p>The inhabitants of low-lying areas near the river bank have been asked to shift to safer places.<\/p>\n<p>In Assam too, the Dhemaji district administration is taking precautionary measures as the river Siang is the principal constituent of river Brahmaputra.<\/p>\n<p>The Government of China has informed the Indian government about abnormally high water levels in the Tsangpo river after a recent cloudburst, following which the Arunachal government and Dhemaji district administration have been put on alert.<\/p>\n<p>The Indian Air Force rescued 19 people stranded in an island amid the swelling Siang River in East Siang district of partially flood-hit Arunachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n<p>The rescue operation by the IAF followed a request by the East Siang district administration to evacuate the people stranded at Jampani under Sille-Oyan circle of the district yesterday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An alert has been sounded by the Arunachal Pradesh government regarding possibility of flash floods in the river Siang.
