Venkaiah Naidu is in Malta on the second leg of his three nation Eastern European tour. On Monday he held delegation level talks with the Maltese President, Marie Louise coleiro preca in Valleta.<\/p>\n<p>Three important agreements in the areas of diplomatic training, tourism, and maritime cooperation were signed between the two countries. The Vice President expressed confidence that this visit would further boost their already friendly bilateral ties.<\/p>\n<p>Both sides also discussed the crucial issue of counter terrorism, and agreed to cooperate with each other in the fight against terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>Vice President Naidu and President Preca&#8217;s discussions covered issues related to trade and investment. President Preca expressed her country&#8217;s desire to join the International Solar Alliance, which India warmly welcomed.<\/p>\n<p>Malta also expressed the desire to expand cooperation into new areas.
