{"id":42745,"date":"2018-09-22T12:09:45","date_gmt":"2018-09-22T12:09:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=42745"},"modified":"2018-09-22T12:09:45","modified_gmt":"2018-09-22T12:09:45","slug":"court-sentences-asi-with-4-years-jail-in-graft-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/court-sentences-asi-with-4-years-jail-in-graft-case\/","title":{"rendered":"COURT SENTENCES ASI WITH 4 YEARS JAIL IN GRAFT CASE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chandigarh<br \/>\nA Mohali court has sentenced an Assistant Sub inspector (ASI) Anup Singh of Police station Zirkapur for 4 years rigorous imprisonment in a bribery case .<\/p>\n<p>Disclosing this a spokesperson of State Vigilance Bureau said the accused ASI was caught red-handed for taking bribe of Rs.40,000 from complainant Paramjit Kaur of Panchkula. He was demanding Rs. One lac to help her in a police case registered against her but the deal was struck at Rs. 40,000.<\/p>\n<p>The VB team laid a trap and the accused ASI was arrested on the spot while accepting bribe of Rs. 40,000\/- from the complainant near Kohinoor Dhaba, Zirakpur &amp; bribe money was recovered from his private car.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the Vigilance has successfully contested this case and the court after finding Anup Singh ASI (retd.) guilty of accepting bribe, awarded him imprisonment for 4 years u\/s 7 and 3 years u\/s 13 of Prevention of Corruption Act and both sentences to run concurrently with fine of Rs. 10,000 each under both counts.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chandigarh A Mohali court has sentenced an Assistant Sub inspector (ASI) Anup Singh of Police station Zirkapur for 4 years rigorous imprisonment in a bribery case .
