{"id":42842,"date":"2018-09-24T11:05:41","date_gmt":"2018-09-24T11:05:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=42842"},"modified":"2018-09-24T11:05:41","modified_gmt":"2018-09-24T11:05:41","slug":"goa-government-rejig-two-ministers-dropped-from-parrikar-cabinet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/goa-government-rejig-two-ministers-dropped-from-parrikar-cabinet\/","title":{"rendered":"Goa government rejig: Two ministers dropped from Parrikar cabinet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Two ministers have been dropped from the Manohar Parrikar cabinet in Goa, the chief minister&#8217;s office said on Monday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The two ministers- Francis D&#8217;Souza and Pandurang Madkaikar have been ailing for some time and are admitted at hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>The development comes at a time when Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is undergoing treatment for a pancreatic ailment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi.<\/p>\n<p>D&#8217;Souza, who was heading the urban development department, and Madkaikar, who was the power minister, have been dropped from the cabinet, according to an official in the CMO.<\/p>\n<p>D&#8217;Souza is currently admitted at a hospital in the USA, while Madkaikar, who had suffered a brain stroke in June, is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mumbai.<\/p>\n<p>Two BJP leaders &#8212; Nilesh Cabral and Milind Naik &#8212; will be sworn in as ministers Monday evening, the official said.<\/p>\n<p>Naik was the power minister in the previous Laxmikant Parsekar-led cabinet, while Cabral would be sworn in for the first time.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two ministers have been dropped from the Manohar Parrikar cabinet in Goa, the chief minister&#8217;s office said on Monday.
