\nGovernors of Haryana and Uttarakhand Satyadev Narayan Arya and Baby Rani Maurya on Friday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his vision for inclusive growth of all sections of society.<\/p>\n
They urged members Scheduled Castes community not to fall prey to canards by vested interests that the BJP-led NDA was against the reservations.
\nMaurya asserted that the BJP has harmony and equality among all section of the society as its core ethos. She also heaped praise on Deen Dayal Upadhya, RSS thinker and co-founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh .<\/p>\n
They were speaking at function organised by ‘Guru Ravidas Vishva Mahapeeth’, a social organisation, to felicitate Aryan and Maurya on becoming Governors, and to thank the Union government for choosing them from Scheduled Castes section for the assignments.<\/p>\n
“The Prime Minister is sincerely advancing the vision of medieval era saint and mystic poet Sant Guru Ravidas, and BR Ambedkar both had low caste origin but showed path of humanity to the world,” Arya said.<\/p>\n
Union Social Justice Minister Vijay Sampla urged people to be cautious about the canards spread by Opposition parties that this government was against reservations.<\/p>\n
“The Supreme Court had diluted the law preventing atrocities against the SCs against which the government had planned to go in appeal after the subsequent holidays. But the Opposition provoked bloody agitation by misleading the public,” Sampla said.<\/p>\n
“After the court’s verdict we strengthened the law through legislation,” Sampla added while questioning the Congress on its contributions towards welfare of dalits.<\/p>\n
International president of the Mahapeeth and BJP’s national vice president Dushyant Kumar Gautam said the fact that the incumbent President of the country, Governors of two states, two Vice-Chancellors , about 40 elected MPs of BJP are from SCs was a testimony to the commitment of the present government and BJP to their cause.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
